The basic steps of the Pedal Commander® installation are always the same regardless of the vehicle's make and model:

Turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 minutes with your driver's door open to allow your ECU to shut down.

Disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug, then plug in the heads to connectors on the Pedal Commander® harness.

Clean up the area where you want to mount the control unit with the alcohol wipe. Stick the bracket with the supplied velcro.

After you make sure the cables are secure and won't be tangled, you are ready to enjoy Pedal Commander®.

Installed this on my Mazda 2023 CX-30 and felt an immediate increased throttle response and a much more pleasing power band and acceleration which this car really needed. Recently traded in my CX-30 for a CX-5 Turbo and tried it out on the new car, but it does not work. My mechanic could not remove all the codes it produced, so had to remove it. Can you please make a version for the Mazda CX-5 Turbo's please!!

After installing a pedal commander in my 2021 Mach E GT performance edition and seeing the improvement in pedal response I had to get one for our 2018 Mazda CX5. Although the Mach E's pedal response is excellent to begin with the CX5's sucked. NOT NOW! We currently run the pedal commander in city plus 4 for great response. Would recommend the pedal commander for anyone who enjoys spirited driving.

The installation process was a breeze! My excitement, however, dissipated soon as I stepped on the accelerator. My 2022 Mazda CX-5 just all of a sudden lost power and stalled. Engine light came on and a host of other malfunction issues appeared on my Mazda app and instrument panel. Glad I was just around my neighborhood and there was not any cars when it happened. After removing the pedal commander and have everything set up how it was previously, engine light disappeared and the original performance of my CX-5 Turbo restored. Hoping a test can be done by the company on newer models of the Mazda CX-5 and determine how to avoid this problem for prospective customers. Perhaps too the return process could be more customer friendly in the future and not make us responsible to spend on shipping it back not to mention a processing fee deducted from the original purchase price. Still I’m thankful for the partial refund.
