When you first press down on the accelerator, there is a delay before anything actually happens. Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) systems cause this as they take the signal from the accelerator pedal when you press it and send it to the vehicle’s ECU. All of this process causes a delay called throttle lag. Besides, manufacturers deliberately leave the delay there because it makes the vehicle suitable for various types of drivers.

The basic steps of the Pedal Commander® installation are always the same regardless of the vehicle's make and model:

Turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 minutes with your driver's door open to allow your ECU to shut down.

Disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug, then plug in the heads to connectors on the Pedal Commander® harness.

Clean up the area where you want to mount the control unit with the alcohol wipe. Stick the bracket with the supplied velcro.

After you make sure the cables are secure and won't be tangled, you are ready to enjoy Pedal Commander®.

My 2023 Chrysler Pacifica 9 speed automatic, is a bit slow on take off and that there were no modes (example sport or eco). So I bought the pedal commander to have more option modes to add on to this vehicle. After installing the pedal commander, which was a easy install, driving the vehicle on just sport mode, made a world of difference in acceleration from a stop and go. Sport plus mode, yea...too sensitive on acceleration lol, but still awesome feeling when u want to punch it quick. Now eco mode is where I like on this vehicle. The 9 speed automatic is a bit jerky sometimes even on stock settings, and this where the eco mode softens the acceleration to be much smoother on take off. Also eco mode does give average mpg higher than normal. Averaging 21 mpg before now 22 to 23 mpg highways. So the pedal commander is a great choice for those needed acceleration, save fuel, and or added modes to their vehicle. Best product so far! Thanks!

Installed in 2 minutes on my 2020 Pacifica Touring L. So far its working well. Sport -3 seems to be the sweet spot for me in normal driving. Does make the throttle more responsive for sure. Because the throttle responds quicker, down shifts happen faster. Its basically adding the "sport mode" button Chrysler should've done (like my previous Chrysler 300 S had).
